The mage starts lower health, STR, DEX, and VIT than the other classes. When leveled, Eleclance deals extra damage and travels much further. This spell has the highest immediate damage, usually between 2 and 6, and can compensate for the mage's poor starting weapon. In multiplayer, consider giving additonal Frost Nova books to your party members first although depending on their starting perk, particular if it reduces ther INT, they won't be able to take advantage of it as much.Įleclance: This small lance of lightning deals damage in a short range in front of the mage. Also, flying enemies will fall to the ground when frozen. If a hand grabs you or a party member, freezing it will break the grab. Using Frost Nova on zombies will give your party an opportunity to quickly and safely dispatch them. Frost Nova is a useful support spell, especially in the catacombs. Eleclance has unlimited charges while Frost Nova has up to 12 and they can be leveled up like any other spell by finding and reading additional spellbooks.įrost Nova: This spell generates a medium sized AoE field of ice that deals low damage and has a high chance to freeze enemies it strikes. Take your time and utilize ranged attacks when possible.įreezing the boss right when the fight starts will give you a window to deal damage. When the boss is firing lasers, move in the same direction that they are moving in. During the meteor shower, rings of fire will appear on the ground that indicate where meteors will land. The attacks are fairly telegraphed and are mostly dodgeable. Stacking elemental resistances will help reduce damage taken from the lasers which deal elemental damage. Using the grappling hook to go under the stage will avoid the meteor shower that can be difficult to dodge onstage if you don't have enough speed.
